PROCESS

curriculum I design my workshop curriculum around an app relevant to the feature I want to teach. I theme the app based on my interests or past experiences. I then build out the presentation to gradually build the app through design exercises that tutorial how to use the new features.

The final prototype is meant to serve as a reference design for projects or even a template for students to use in their projects

A bakery app because I used to work at a Japanese Bakery ☘️

A frog theme app inspired by “flexbox froggy” to learn HTML

Coworker trading cards! Based on trading card game culture

WORKbook problems I include workbook problems that break down the steps to build the demo app

Throughout the workshop presentation I demo these workbook problems live! A blank file is shared with participants to follow along or try on their own later

deck design I design decks around a cohesive visual theme, while ensuring the layout stays flexible enough to adapt to different content.

Consistency across slides helps orient the audience and creates clear emphasis when transitioning to key steps in the demo

Theming The story writes itself! The theming really comes together along the way. I discovered so many frog puns

Layout Flow

figma community After presenting I publish my workshops to my Figma Community Page! I think of it as a designers version of Free-Open-Source-Software.
